CALL FOR ENTRIES

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting artists and expanding access to the arts, The Joe Center for the Arts hosts a year-round schedule of exhibitions featuring regional artists working across a wide range of media.

Artists are encouraged to review upcoming opportunities and submission deadlines below. Entry portals will be posted here as calls open.

Submissions will be handled through EntryThingy. Artists who wish to receive notifications when calls open may subscribe to our artist mailing list. Calls typically open 6–8 weeks prior to the exhibition.

* You will need to register with Entry Thingy the first time you use it. The great thing about Entry Thingy for artists is that you will have access to Calls for Entry from other organizations as well as ours! They have a Help section to answer any questions you may have when entering. Good luck on this and any shows you enter!

Exhibition: May 1 – May 29

Opening Reception: May 1

Theme: Explore the extremes of scale—from bold, oversized works that command the room to tiny pieces that reward close viewing and intricate detail. Artists may interpret the theme through monumental impact or miniature precision. Artists may submit work in either category or both.

Notification: April 18

Delivery of accepted work: April 24-25

Exhibition: June 5 – July 31

Opening Reception: June 5

Theme:  A celebration of the animal kingdom and the imagination it inspires. Artists are invited to interpret wildlife, birds, animals, or mythical creatures through their own creative lens.

Exhibition: Aug. 7 – Sept. 11      

Theme:  An online digital  photography exhibition showcasing compelling visual storytelling through the camera’s eye.

All photo-based works are eligible, with no limitation as to subject matter or technique. No AI generated work is acceptable. AI can only be used in editing your image.  The Joe Center for the Arts is a family-centered community-based organization. As such, we reserve the right to reject any work that we deem inappropriate to our audience.

A showcase celebrating the creativity of The Joe’s member artists. This exhibition highlights a diverse range of media and styles and provides an opportunity for visitors to discover and purchase original artwork.
