ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Mandi always loved the relaxed lifestyle of the beach and Old Florida.

As a child, she would eagerly anticipate the summers spent in Mexico Beach with her Uncle Glenn during the vibrant 70’s and 80’s. Even after growing up in bustling Atlanta, Georgia, where she thrived as an award-winning newspaper photographer, Mandi found herself yearning for the serenity of the coast. In 2010, she decided to follow her heart and make the life-changing move to Apalachicola, Florida, a place that felt like home from the moment she arrived.

Mandi's deep connection to the beach and her love for activities in and around the water soon sparked a creative flame within her. It was in 2013 when she crafted a fish hook bracelet for a dear friend, marking the humble beginnings of Mandi Singer Designs. Inspired by her favorites pastimes, such as fishing, scuba diving, and gardening, Mandi poured her passion into her unique creations. Her dedication to her craft was matched only by her joy in spending time with friends in Apalachicola, building connections within her tight-knit community.

Living by her own beliefs, Mandi wears her cherished fishhook anklet every day, finding comfort and superstition in the thought that it brings her luck when venturing on fishing expeditions. Beyond her personal pursuits, Mandi remains an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Apalachicola, where she finds solace and gratitude, humbled by the talents and gifts bestowed upon her by God.

Drawing inspiration from her deep love for the sea and the beauty of nature, Mandi meticulously selects elements for her jewelry pieces. She incorporates treasures like freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones, recycled glass, and locally sourced sea glass, turning them into one-of-a-kind adornments. Each piece is carefully handcrafted with love in Mandi's personal studio, situated in COAST Beach & Bungalow, at 85 Market Street in Apalachicola.

To provide a memorable shopping experience, Mandi proudly showcases her creations on a handmade driftwood tree, serving as a stunning display within COAST. If you find yourself in Apalachicola, be sure to visit this special haven, where you can explore and appreciate Mandi's newest designs. It's an opportunity to step into the world of Mandi Singer Designs, where the philosophy is simple yet profound: "Look Good, Feel Good!" Mandi is driven by the desire to offer handcrafted jewelry that not only enhances your physical appearance but also allows you to express your unique and authentic style.

Mandi began offering jewelry making classes in 2023, and they quickly became a hit among enthusiastic learners. Her passion for engaging with artistic individuals and encouraging them to craft their own unique and stunning leather cord jewelry pieces shines through every class she teaches.
