Dive into a creative journey where paint, paper, texture and intuition collide. In this immersive workshop, participants will explore layered mixed media techniques- collage, markmaking, image transfers and more-to craft richly expressive pages. The experience culminates in binding these pages into a handmade artist book: part journal, part art object, wholly personal. Rooted in experimentation and creative freedom, this class invites artist of all levels to play, reflect and leave with a beautiful book that tells their visual story.

Colleen Cleek has been an artist for over 30 years. She began her career in the Culinary Arts and owned The Classy Gourmet Culinary Arts Center Art Gallery and Cooking School. Her mother owned a Ceramic shop and learned to tole paint. She entered her first drawing competition when she was 8, she was hooked. She has enjoyed taking classes from Ranger Ink artist Dina Wakley and Dyan Reavely. She has been a Close to my Heart consultant and loves card making and scrapbooking. She enjoys Mixed Media Journaling and uses it as a space to learn, practice and create. It is a culmination of years of learning that she loves to share with others. Currently she is a SUP Yoga instructor when weather allows and an artist when not.
